Hub Brands Swan River Sailing
The Hub was selected to create a dynamic new brand for Swan River Sailing formerly known as the WA Yachting Foundation.  The Hub approached this project by first understanding the organisation's key target audiences, competitive environment, current customer brand perceptions, its uniqueness and the Board's business vision / direction.

"By understanding the business and its services, we were able to represent sailing and the Swan River in the new logo," said Managing Director Nicolle Jenkins.

The result - a combination of the swan icon with 'tell tale' small sailing flags and one very happy client!

"On the yacht's main sail there are small flags called 'tell tales' that essentially help the crew identify wind direction, if the sail needs trimming and to maximise yacht speed.  We were able to combine this knowledge to develop a unique, dynamic logo for the organisation."

"This highlights how involved we are in our clients business to ensure all marketing outcomes are maximised," Nicolle said.

Hub Redesigns Wula Guda Nyinda Aboriginal Eco Adventures

Long-term client Darren 'Capes' Capewell approached The Hub team to refresh the design and copy on all his business marketing materials.

Managing Director Nicolle Jenkins said the brief focused on refreshing his materials while using his distinctive strong brand.

"To do this we created two new sub brand elements which features a turtle and dugong which are two culturally significant animals to Capes and the Shark Bay region.  Alicia from The Hub graphic design team has done a fanatstic job in adding a fresh approach to his design while still maintaining the important functionality of how the materials need to work in their environment," Nicolle said.

The Hub redesigned and wrote the copy for the Wula Guda Nyinda brochures, business cards, letterhead, beach signs, car magnets, website, with compliments slip, rates sheet and signage.

Nicolle has just returned from her fifth visit to Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort and said if you are in the area, experiencing Capes' tours is an absolute MUST.

"Capes has a special ability to connect with people and share the spirit, culture and stories of his country.  The tours are an eye opener - they are truely amazing.  You won't ever look at the country the same way," Nicolle said.

The Hub Drives Media Campaign for Aboriginal Artists
The Hub advises numerous leading Aboriginal Art organisations throughout Australia to manage significant media opportunities as part of an integrated marketing and communications campaign that has spanned over nearly three years.

This month, The Hub managed a press conference and announcement for Desart, Ku Arts, Western Desert Mob and other Aboriginal artist groups.  This press conference was a significant media campaign to communicate the importance of Art Centres as a credible source to purchase Aboriginal Art.

The press conference held mid-August in Darwin, was attended by more than twelve key journalists from News Limited, Fairfax Newspapers and the ABC as well as more than twelve Aboriginal artists and art centre managers who were eager to share their positive community stories.

The multi-million dollar Aboriginal Art industry has been a hot topic among national media following on from a story broadcast by ABC’s Four Corners, the Telstra Aboriginal Art Awards and a Senate Inquiry into the industry in 2007.

The Hub identified this as an opportunity for the artists and art centre managers to communicate their positive key messages to the media and coordinated a media conference which provided a forum for representatives of forty three Aboriginal Art Centres and more than one thousand Indigenous artists to speak out.

The media conference was supported by a ‘Buy Right Way’ campaign that operated at ground level during Darwin Art Fair to educate art buyers about purchasing authentic art with strong provenance.

The Hub Sources Training
The Hub is diversifying its services portfolio, working with a leading Western Australian mining company to devise a strategy for staff training of managers and internal trainers.

The project involves liaising with various corporate training providers to recommend a training plan that will enhance the mining company’s business direction.

“The Hub’s approach aligns an organisation’s marketing, communications and business goals to achieving holistic results. Corporate culture is one of the most important elements of an organisation’s brand and can enhance or impede a business’ image if not managed.”

“Corporate training is a great tool to improve staff job satisfaction. These internal strategies play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation’s overall image in the marketplace, particularly in competitive industry like mining and resources,” said Nicolle Jenkins.
